SUBTLE THOUGHT’S

  • As a Christian have you noticed the attack on your mind has increased.
  • whether they may be “blast from the past”
  • suggestive thought’s that  you know that it’s an attack on the mind
  • is God real
  • why has my prayers not been answered

Many time’s the “emotional rollercoaster’s”  that we have experienced in life, the start up button is hit once again, triggered by a spoken word, a tragic event event expeirenced by yourself or a loved one.

Spiritual warfare is on the increase, the validity of God’s written Word is being challenged daily. When the onslaught occurs, remember that God is our help and shield, a very present help and a friend that is close to us in our time of need.

1 Peter 5:8 (NLT2)
8  Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 (NLT2)
6  So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded.

 {take controll  of your thought’s}

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT2)
7  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

 AND

Ephesians 6:10 (NLT2)
10  A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

  1. Very good teaching Paul. There is a question I have for you. We know that in the Christian thinking, it is mostly thought that each gift of the Holy Spirit as well as different ministries, such as Apostle,Prophet,Evangelist, and Teacher are giving by the Lord to His church his people. But, in verse 31 of 1 Cor chapter 12 it said —–“earnestly DESIRE THE HIGHER GIFTS—–” And there is another Scripture that I don’t recall right now, that says “that he who desires the office of Bishop, desires a good thing”. So, my question is, how much depends on us in these giftings, and much depends on the Lord and His Holy Spirit? Are these things done simply by the sovereign will of God, or are we able to help in His choosing?

    1. Lyndon, In reference to scripture,
The Holy Spirit gives the gifts to man. Ro 11:29 the gifts and calling of God are without repentence. Yet it is the responsibility of man to operate in the gifts they have when directed by the Holy Spirit to do so. Mathew 25:15 (NLT2) 15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities.
1 Tim 4:14 instructs us not to neglect the spiritual gift that we have recieved.
The next post Desire The Higher Gifts goes into more detail.
